Terms and Conditions
- All runners agreeing to the terms and conditions as part of their entry must have read and understood the specific event rules listed here but also the information contained within this website, which may be changed at any time up to the start of an event
- Runners must start in their allocated grade, or handicap start time or risk a time penalty.
- Runs may be physically arduous and mentally challenging and no responsibility will be taken for any accidents/injuries.
- The Committee may prevent any runner from starting, or retire a runner during an event, if it is decided that the runner may be placing themselves or others at any risk whatsoever, or for any other reason.
- All runners shall obey directions from Run Officials. Failure to adhere to these rules or directions on the day may result in the runner not being accepted to run in other Newcastle Cross Country events.
- Minimum age for registration is 6 years
- In the interest of safety and the future success of our junior runners, NXC discourages any child under the age of 12 years from competing in any NXC organised distance over 5kms, or children 12-16 years old from competing in any 'long' run. Junior runners will not be awarded points if they compete in 'long' runs.
- The club does not accept responsibility for supervising children in public places, it is the responsibility of the child's parent or guardian.
- Each adult participant and parent/guardian is required to volunteer at least once per season.

- Keep Left
- Alert runners when approaching from behind
- Help injured runners
- Keep Left
- Photographs taken by committee members, or their delegates, may be used for publicity and posted on internet sites managed by NXC.
- Under affiliation conditions with Athletics NSW, your contact details will be held on their data base and used for marketing purposes.
- Terms and conditions form part of this membership agreement and you must answer yes in order to be a member of NXC. If the applicant is under the age of 18, the terms and conditions must be approved by a parent or guardian
- Must abide by NSW Health orders in place at the time of the event
