Family Atmosphere

​Not everybody runs.  We also cater for those who wish to walk and children who are under 6 and walking with a carer.  We have many families who join our club and they find it rewarding to be able to compete as a family either running or walking.  Quite a few people also pack a picnic afternoon tea to enjoy at the venue after the event. 

BBQ and Fruit Runs

​ From time to time Newcastle Cross Country provide a BBQ or fruit for its runners at no cost.  Please remember if you have finished your run early, and already eaten, then don’t attempt to ask for seconds until all runners have completed their events.

Animals

​NXC has a hiring agreement with all venues.  As most venues do not permit animals we request that you do not bring your animals to any event.

First Aid

​A designated first aid officer will be available at all runs.  However in the event of an emergency the appropriate services will be contacted. 

Headphones

​In the interest of safety, for other runners and marshalls, no headphones to be worn during the race.   

Rubbish

​Please deposit your rubbish in the bins or bags provided.  All venues must be left clean and tidy.
