Good Sports accreditation
Newcastle Cross Country has been accredited with Level 1 to 3 of the Good Sports Program
Good Sports is Australia's largest and longest running health initiative in community sports. It aims to build stronger communities by helping create a family-friendly, club that is free from alcohol, smoking and illegal drugs related issues and provides awareness of mental health and good nutrition.

Drugs in Sport
The use of drugs to enhance performance is considered unethical, and therefore prohibited by Newcastle Cross Country.

Spectator Behaviour
The use of alcohol at any events organised by Newcastle Cross Country is prohibited. Members and volunteers are expected to behave in the manner of what it means to be a great supporter and role model for positive behaviour for our young members with regards to respect and sportsmanship.
Mental and Physical Health
Newcastle Cross Country membership ranges in age from 6 years to 90+ years and as such our runners have very differing mental and physical capabilities. The club asks you to be respectful of each and every one of its membership base, and not to pass judgement on any member you feel differs from what you consider 'the norm'.
